The idea of spoilers and Spider-Manactually go hand-in-hand, thanks to its leading man. Holland is known for (pretty adorably) giving away prized information, resulting in talk show hosts constantly teasing the star, and his publicity team probably giving him hours of prep to retain the movie's secrets.

Even distributor Sony Pictures took to the social media platform to urge, "NO SPOILERS. 🚫 Don’t be that person. If you want to be extra safe, stop reading comments, mute keywords, and start staying off social media today!"

Their instructions were apparently taken very seriously. People are claiming they're deleting their accounts (whether they're going to really do it or not), those who remain are saying they're muting phrases, and it generally seems like a good time for a social media break for Spider-Manfans.
