When do preorders open, and when do phones start shipping?

Preorders open at 8:00 a.m ET/5:00 a.m. PT, Sept. 17. This is when you should log into your Apple account and complete the order. From there, your shiny new iPhone 13 will ship on Sept. 24.

The new iPhone 13 is not cheap. The iPhone 13 starts at $799 and the iPhone 13 Pro starts at $999. But there are a few ways to save money on your phone when you preorder. Carriers AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon offer trade-in credit when you buy through the Apple store.
